Ezequiel “Eddie” Cruz, 72, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 26, 1953, in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, Eddie was the son of the late Carmelo and Ana (Ortiz) Cruz.

Eddie was the devoted husband of the late Esther Cruz and a loving Dad to three daughters. Ana James wife of Bill James, Jennifer Cruz wife of Justin Bachman, and Christina Cruz. He was a proud Papa to Jayson, Ivalis, Jayden, Isabella, and Indigo, and a cherished great grandfather to Caden, Jackson, and Adelia. He is also survived by his siblings, Yolanda Cruz and Carmelo Cruz.

Eddie dedicated over 30 years of service to the Allentown Housing Authority and was honored with a Citizens Award from the Allentown Police Department in recognition of his bravery in the community. He enjoyed music, photography, and was especially fond of capturing images of lighthouses. Eddie was also an active community member of the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

Eddie will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and deep love for his family. His memory will live on in all who were blessed to know him.

A Celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015.
