The Corry fifth-grade boys basketball team defended their home floor against Erie First Christian Academy on Thursday and won 23-16. The Beavers held the upper hand throughout the contest, maintaining the lead from mid-first quarter to the final buzzer.  Levi Deutsch led the scoring with 11 points. Kallen Howard had six. Jaxon Gluvna, Luca Sandberg and Ethan Moore added two points each.

Jordan Ditzler and Tucker Marsh also provided a strong rebounding presence under the basket. 

Corry’s record moves to 6-1. 

The Beavers will continue play next week at home versus Fairview on Tuesday, Jan. 27, and will travel to face Walnut Creek on Thursday, Jan. 29.
