EASTON, Pa. – As the snow falls and the temperatures drop even more, there are people who will ride out this storm homeless.

Dana Kozinski is making sure at least some have food and essentials to help them brave the elements, making blizzard bags Friday night.

Kozinski’s garage is overflowing with supplies and food, or you could say it’s overflowing with love. “Whoever we can feed, we’re feeding,” said Kozinski.

She’s the founder of the Angels of Easton, a nonprofit that feeds the homeless twice a week.

On Saturday, she’s holding an emergency feeding. “We call it a blizzard emergency,” said Kozinski. “Normally, we were just with them Thursday, so normally we feed Monday to give us time to rebuild their blessing bags.”

Within hours of putting out a call for help, supplies and food were being dropped off.

“It’s beautiful, it’s amazing, but this was an emergency and this community pull through this quick,” said Kozinski. “I mean, I’m talking this quick.”

Bringing much needed supplies. “Right now, we have a hot hands for them, we have the hot ones for the feet, we have the gloves, scarves, and hats. We have some lanterns. We try to have flashlights, we try to get the batteries in there,” said Kozinski. There’s also of course, food and water.

Kozinski considers the people she helps her family; a family that keeps growing and growing as more and more people need help. Like all families, she loves and cares about them, and she will be anxiously waiting out the storm wondering how her family is holding up in the elements.

“For them to be out there, I hate it,” Kozinski. “I honestly hate it. I think that’s why I push. Just keep pushing you know, I hate it. Literally, those are my guys, those are my crew, I’m going to make a change one day and we’re not going to be here.”
