Scandia, PA – According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 911 call reporting a structure fire came in around 1:50PM Friday, January 23rd, at 1092 Robin Hill Road in Elk Township, Russell.
“We got a call at around 1:50PM for a possible structure fire,” said Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Joshua Zeigler. “Multiple fire departments responded, including Scandia, North Warren, Frewsburg NY, Glade Township, Warren City, and Russell EmergyCare. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames. One person was found inside the residence and was pronounced dead by the Warren County Coroner’s Office. We will be working with the coroner to identify the victim using medical and dental records.”
The home collapsed due to the fire, but no first responders were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
