Three people have died in Lehigh County in relation to Sunday’s snowstorm.
They ranged in age from 60-84 years old, said the Lehigh County coroner Monday morning.
Each was shoveling or cleaning up snow when they experienced a medical emergency, the coroner said.
All three deaths have been ruled natural. They are consistent with sudden medical events that can occur during strenuous activity like snow removal, the coroner said.
The coroner is reminding people to take frequent breaks when shoveling snow, stay hydrated and ask for help when possible, especially older adults or those with heart or other medical concerns.
The victims’ names are not being released.
Sunday’s storm brought about a foot of snow to most of the area, with lower totals where sleet/mixing occurred and higher totals where it stayed all snow.
