(WHTM) — Pennsylvania is hitting the brakes on aggressive drivers.

State police and 300 police departments started a weeks-long aggressive driving enforcement initiative Monday. The goal is to reduce the number of crashes, injuries and deaths.

Specific aggressive driving examples are schools bus violations, not moving over for an emergency vehicle, tailgating and speeding. Police will hand out tickets to stopped drivers.

The initiative runs though Nov. 9.
