ALLENTOWN, Pa. – As we’ve been saying, thanks to all of that cold, this snow is not going anywhere anytime soon.
So why not make the best of it?
Sunday’s snowfall has plenty of people trading in shovels for sleds.
“Well, I have off from school and so we got together and we’re just sledding,” says one student.
“Meeting up with friends to sled. It’s going to be very fun,” says another.
Kids across the area are enjoying a good old fashioned snow day.
“Yeah, the flexible instruction days they’re not fun,” says one child who went sledding.
“Yeah, so it was fun to have a traditional snow day and go out in the snow and sled and just play in the snow,” says another.
“It’s a lot more fun than being inside on a zoom call,”
There’s plenty of good sledding terrain to scope out. “I think its soft but there’s a lot of it,” another kid says.
The hill behind Cedar Crest College in Allentown is a hot spot.
“There’s some parts where you just turn sideways and just flop into the snow and that’s really fun.”
“Yeah, I wiped out a lot,” one kid laughs.
