“We are building a City Hall that is responsive, effective, and prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead. This report is a key part of Erie’s next chapter, and I am so grateful for my Transition Team’s work.”

Within the report there are five issue areas in which the team will focus on to shape daily life in Erie and the long-term health of the city.

Housing and Neighborhood Development

Youth

Workforce and Economic Development

Budget and Financial Sustainability

Leadership, Culture, and Service Delivery

The report is expected to help focus on immediate needs, plan for the medium term, and build long-term resilience allowing for a safer, more efficient, and vibrant community.

“Erie is full of talent, pride, and exciting momentum, and now is the time to meet the moment head on,” said Jenessa Norton, Transition Team member. “Across each area of focus, we observed significant overlap around the need for better communication, clearer processes, and more coordinated collaboration to improve responsiveness and effectiveness. This report is a guide to turn that potential into real results for the community.”
