Linda Marilyn St. Pierre

OBITUARY

Linda Marilyn (Davies) St. Pierre, 75, passed away peacefully at Embassy at East Mountain nursing home and rehabilitation center, Wilkes-Barre, in the early morning hours of January 24, 2026.

Born November 18, 1950, Linda was one of 13 children, a beloved daughter of the late William D. and Ann Edwards Davies.

Linda was a 1968 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, where she was a cheerleader and proudly co-wrote her class song. She earned her RN license in 1972 through a nursing program at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, and was later employed by a local doctors office, where she worked for several years before suspending her career to raise her children and later to care for her sister, Jean.

Linda married the love of her life, Michael P. St. Pierre, on May 27, 1972, and they celebrated 53 years together, raising four children and welcoming six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom they cherished.

Linda possessed a natural creative talent, which she honed in various ways. A prolific quilter and crocheter, her beautiful afghans and blankets adorn the homes of countless loved ones, each masterpiece meticulously crafted and gifted to family and friends in celebration of marriages and births.

Linda was particularly proud of her Welsh heritage, regularly making Welsh cookies and pasties, and watching her favorite movie, How Green Was My Valley, whenever it aired on TCM.

She will be lovingly remembered for her devout Christian faith, her kindness and generosity, her dedication to family, and her quiet, patient nature.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her four children: Marc, of Kingston, Amanda (Russell) Straw, of Harrisburg, Timothy, of Philadelphia, and Rebecca Cassel, of Jefferson Township; grandchildren Wyatt, Brandon, and Liam Straw, Audrey and Henry Cassel, and Kevin Rossi, Jr; one great-grandchild, Noelle Straw. She is also survived by three siblings, Wayne (Jean) Davies, Irmo, SC, Paul (Patricia) Davies, Shavertown, and Phyllis Balmer, Dallas; sisters-in-law Sumnar Davies, Hanover Township, and Mary Ann Davies, Williamsburg, VA; brothers-in-law Frank McCormack, Wilkes-Barre, and Anthony Esser, Scottsdale, AZ; and countless nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held for Linda on a future date. Donations can be made in Linda’s honor to Our Daily Bread Ministries, publisher of her favorite devotional.

Arrangements are made by Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18702.
