Here are some community announcements regarding closings, parking bans, road conditions, and other changes due to the winter weather.
PENNSYLVANIA, USA — PennDOT has lifted the speed limit and right-lane-only commercial vehicle restrictions that were in place on several roadways in the region.
Crews are still treating roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.

Carbon County:
The borough of Bowmanstown is no longer under a snow emergency as of Tuesday, January 27, at 12 p.m.
Lackawanna County:
Alternate parking is in effect in Jermyn until further notice.St. Anthony’s Haven in Scranton and the Code Blue Shelter at Weston Field in Scranton will be open all day on Sunday, January 25.Employees under the Governor’s jurisdiction who physically report to work at the Scranton State Office Building are authorized for a full day office closing due to weather on Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27
Luzerne County:
All Luzerne County Transportation Authority (LCTA) Fixed Route Services will run on Snow Routes on Wednesday, January 28.All Luzerne County office buildings will reopen on Tuesday, January 27, and county offices will resume normal business operations.All Hazleton Public Transit buses will be operating on Snow Routes on Tuesday, January 27, with a delayed start beginning at 7 a.m.
Lycoming County:
County of Lycoming Administration Offices will be closed until Noon on Monday, January 26.
Monroe County:
Officials in Delaware Water Gap have designated a ‘Snow Emergency’ from Saturday, January 24 at 12 p.m. to Tuesday, January 27 at 12 p.m. No parking will be permitted on borough streets during that time.
Schuylkill County:
The city of Pottsville has issued a Snow Emergency Level 2 Parking Ban, which will be in effect from 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27. All vehicles are to be removed from snow emergency routes and fire lanes under the parking ban. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution on roadways. For more information, click here.

McClure borough has declared a snow emergency. No parking on Sprecht Street or Brown Street.
