Erie, Pa—The Erie County Public Library invites the public to view project details for its upcoming Mead Children’s Library renovation. Interested patrons may visit the Raymond M. Blasco, MD Memorial Library, during two open house sessions on Wednesday, January 28: 

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Patrons can inspect project designs and concept art as they walk throughout the Mead Children’s Library. Library staff will be available during each session to answer questions, expand on project details, and collect patron feedback.

 The renovation project is funded entirely by the ARPA PA Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program and private donors, facilitated by the Erie Regional Library Foundation. Feedback collected through patron surveys, as well as grant-required funding priorities, informed the scope of the Children’s Renovation project.

Key elements of the project renovation include:

Enhanced navigation throughout the spaceIntentional seating and play areas for expanded age rangesUpgraded facilities that permit a greater range of programmingIncreased technology offerings for the entire familyReservable study rooms within the Children’s Library footprintRenovation of restrooms in the Children’s Library
