The graphics have been posted on social media advertising that schools are closed and made to appear as if they are from local news media outlets.
The schools while not being named have asked the community to use only certified news source websites and social media pages to access school closures such as Erie News Now.
Parents and guardians if there are social media posts that state that your children’s school is closed it is encouraged that you check the Erie News Now website for any updated closures or call the schools superintendent for the most accurate information.
