We’re learning new details on Wednesday night after law enforcement raided a spa in Harborcreek.
Police were seen entering the business earlier Wednesday, removing items which authorities said are connected to illegal activity.
Along with the spa in Harborcreek was another spa in erie that has also been indicted.
Sunny Spa and Point Spa are the names of the indicated places.
The US Attorney’s Office alleged the spas are a misnomer, with four people being indicted on federal charges for using the two places as houses for prostitution.
The operators of the spas accepted debit cards, credit card and cash according to the indictment,
All of the FBI, Pennsylvania State Police and federal officers were responding at the scene.
Many businesses in the area said they saw many cop cars at the scene between around 8 and 11 am.
The FBI did release a statement saying there is no threat to the public; however, the investigation is still ongoing.
