READING, Pa. – A man has been convicted of aggravated assault, but not murder, in the death of a child in Reading.
Authorities say Elijah Matias was watching a three-year-old child who died in January 2021.
The child went to the hospital in respiratory distress and died later that night.
Authorities say an autopsy showed the child had internal and external injuries.
Matias is set to be sentenced in March.
