Theresa ‘Terri” (Giordano) Migliorino
OBITUARY
Theresa Terri (Giordano) Migliorino, a longtime Scranton resident, passed away on Sunday evening at Glenmaura Senior Living in Moosic. She was 71 years old.
Born on September 3, 1954, and daughter of the late Vito and Claire (McCrea) Giordano, Terri was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Marywood University. For more than three decades, Terri served her community in Scranton as a dedicated educator who left a lasting impact on countless students. She taught at St. Paul’s School and Holy Cross High School before retiring from Lasalle Academy.
Terri is survived by her two beloved children, Theresa Kerrigan and husband Robert of Scranton, and Benjamin Migliorino and wife Julie of Denver, CO.; four grandchildren, Claire and Eloise Kerrigan and Andrew and Penelope Migliorino; three sisters, Lynn Dustin, Susan Sommer and husband Wayne, and Vicki Giordano; her former husband, Joseph Migliorino; and nieces, sisters-in-law, cousins, and dear friends.
Terri will be remembered most as an adoring, patient, and dedicated grandmother to her grandchildren, who were the light of her late life. She was also an avid traveler who deeply enjoyed places of natural beauty like the California coast and the Rocky Mountains. She was always generous with her time and her home, and had a keen sense of personal style. She displayed great courage during adversity, including her long battle with cancer.
Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the entire staffs of both Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Glenmaura Senior Living for the attentive and compassionate care provided to her.
A funeral Mass has been scheduled for Thursday, February 5th, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Church, 1510 Penn Avenue in Scranton. Family and friends may pay their respects at the church from 9:30 AM until Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s name to Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
