The American Red Cross of Greater Pennsylvania announced in a press release on Thursday that they are looking for volunteers to step up and care for communities after disasters.<\/p>\n
The disasters range from local home fires to hurricanes. Authorities say volunteers make up 90% of the Red Cross workforce.<\/p>\n
Officials say on Feb. 12 the Red Cross will host a free virtual information session to discuss what it\u2019s like to volunteer with the Red Cross and support people who are affected by disasters. The introductory session will be hosted over Zoom and allow potential volunteers to learn more about available positions and ask questions.
