Mikie Sherrill, U.S. Marshals say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Pennsylvania man was arrested for allegedly stalking and harassing New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/USMS_Philly\/status\/2016567013926220236\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">U.S. Marshals said<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Cilurso, 72, of Aldan, Delaware County, left sexually explicit and derogatory messages to Sherrill when she was a congressmember and running for New Jersey governor, according to U.S. Marshals.<\/p>\n<p>New Jersey State Police issued a warrant for Cilurso&#8217;s arrest on Jan. 22, U.S. Marshals said. Five years ago, Cilurso was charged with harassing Rep. Madeleine Dean.<\/p>\n<p>Sherrill was sworn into office earlier this month and became the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/newyork\/news\/mikie-sherrill-inauguration-preview-governor-phil-murphy-new-jersey\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Garden State&#8217;s first female Democratic governor<\/a>, succeeding Gov. Phil Murphy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/new-jersey-governor-mikie-sherrill-ciattarelli\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sherrill defeated Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli<\/a> in the New Jersey governor&#8217;s race last November, which turned personal at times. She beat Ciattarelli by a double-digit margin on Election Day and won 56.9% of the vote.<\/p>\n<p>When Sherrill was inaugurated last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/newyork\/news\/mikie-sherrill-inauguration-speech-new-jersey-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">she signed her first two executive orders<\/a> aimed at fulfilling campaign promises to make New Jersey more affordable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Before winning the governor&#8217;s race, Sherrill was a four-term congressmember and a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot.<\/p>\n<p>\n        More from CBS News\n      <\/p>\n<p class=\"content__tags__label\">In:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Pennsylvania man was arrested for allegedly stalking and harassing New Jersey Gov.
