That was until Thursday night, when the Philadelphia Eagles signed Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion to become their next offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Eagles have had a hard time filling this position, with leaks coming out left and right about the reason for the job still being open. Depending on who you listen to, it\u2019s because of the locker room, Nick Sirianni being on the hot seat, coordinators wanting to bring in their own offensive line guy instead of Jeff Stoutland or just generally how Eagles fans treat coaches\u2019 families when the team doesn\u2019t meet expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Either way, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acmepackingcompany.com\/green-bay-packers-news\/78804\/packers-qbs-coach-to-interview-for-eagles-offensive-coordinator-job\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Mannion had an in-person visit with Philadelphia this week;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Mannion had an in-person visit with Philadelphia this week<\/a> after having a virtual interview with the team earlier this offseason. Mannion is coming off a 21-17 victory in the East-West Shrine Bowl, a college all-star game, where he was the offensive coordinator for the West team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Mannion played nine years in the NFL as a quarterback before joining the Packers as an offensive assistant in 2024. In 2025, he was promoted to quarterbacks coach by LaFleur, who was Mannion\u2019s offensive coordinator as a player.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">On February 3rd, 2024, Mannion started his coaching career. Less than two years later, he is the offensive coordinator of a playoff team. The next man up to replace Mannion will probably be Luke Getsy, who holds the title of \u201csenior assistant\u201d in Green Bay. He was previously the Packers\u2019 quarterbacks coach from 2019 to 2021 before leaving for two play-calling offensive coordinator jobs.
