SCRANTON, Pa. (WOLF) \u2014 A Scranton man is facing dozens of felony charges following a months-long narcotics investigation that led detectives to discover illegal images involving children.<\/p>\n
According to the Scranton Police Department, the Street Crimes Unit and Detective Bureau began an investigation in September 2025 into alleged narcotics-related activity involving 62-year-old David Clark. <\/p>\n
During the course of that investigation, authorities learned Clark was allegedly in possession of images containing child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined the material included images depicting indecent contact and other forms of child sexual exploitation. <\/p>\n
After confirming the findings, police sought and obtained an arrest warrant.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, January 20, Clark was taken into custody by Scranton Police patrol officers without incident.<\/p>\n
Clark has been charged with 25 felony counts of possession of child pornography depicting sexual contact and an additional 25 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n
He was transported to the Lackawanna County Criminal Justice Center, where he was arraigned and subsequently remanded to the Lackawanna County Prison. Clark remains in custody while awaiting his preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n
