WYOMISSING, Pa. \u2013 Developers have presented a conceptual plan for the redevelopment of the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing.<\/p>\n
During a meeting Thursday night, the borough says officials with Montgomery County-based Abrams Realty and Development talked about the desire to use what’s known as tax increment financing, or TIF, to help fund the project.<\/p>\n
They also say they hope to close on the deal to buy the mall in mid-May.<\/p>\n
Plans call for demolishing the mall, except for Boscov’s, and adding stores and restaurants.<\/p>\n
Last fall, Peter Abrams told 69 News his company was considering an open-air concept.<\/p>\n
