\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Hedy (Konarzewski) Taroli, of Old Forge, died Sunday, January 25, 2026 in Geisinger Community Medical Center, at the age of 97. She was the widow of Guy G. Taroli, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 20, 1984.<\/p>\n
\nBorn in Scranton, daughter of the late Alexander and Lucy Zdyunczyk Konarzewski, she graduated from SS Peter & Paul School in Scranton. She was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish (St. Mary\u2019s Church), Old Forge. In years past, Hedy was employed by Topps Chewing Gum, and was also a familiar face to countless students in the Old Forge School District cafeteria.<\/p>\n
\nSurviving are her sons, Guy G. Taroli, Jr. (significant other Beverly Beccaloni) and Greg Taroli (significant other Paula Talerico), who were all her caregivers; a daughter-in-law, Mary Taroli of Exeter; two grandchildren, Jessica Floridia (husband Giovanni) and April Roccograndi (husband Gary); two great grandchildren, Sophia and Gary; nieces and nephews, Lucy Ann Birochak (husband Jack), Doreen Adams (husband Bill), Theresa Kazmerick, Michael Kazmerick (wife Lisa), John Mostek (wife Ginger), Ron Zaykowski, Larry Zaykowski (wife Marion), Frank Konarzewski and Paul Konarzewski and their families; and grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews.<\/p>\n
\nShe was also preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by a son, Gary Taroli; daughter-in-law, Debbie Taroli; brothers, Frank, Joseph, and Alexander Konarzewski; sisters, Lydia Petkavich, Jean Kazmerick, and Josephine Zaykowski; nephews, Richard Kazmerick, Arthur Mostek, & Frank Mostek; and a niece, Phyllis Chiappini.<\/p>\n
\nThe family wishes to thank Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli and staff for years of heartfelt and proper guidance and medical care.<\/p>\n
\nThe funeral will be Saturday, February 7, 2026, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Prince of Peace Parish (St. Mary\u2019s Church), 123 W. Grace St., Old Forge to be celebrated by Father Walter E. Jenkins, C.S.C., Ed.D., pastor. Interment, thereafter, in Holy Cross Diocesan Cemetery, Old Forge.<\/p>\n
\nRelatives and friends are invited to a public viewing Saturday, Feb. 7, in the church from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.
