\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Marjorie L. Shay, 95, of Dickson City, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at home. She was the widow of William C. Shay who died in 1998.<\/p>\n
\nBorn in Niagara Falls, New York, she was the daughter of the late Helena Brink Ferris.<\/p>\n
\nA woman of devout faith, she was a member of The Gideons International.<\/p>\n
\nSurviving is daughter Linda Holgate, Factoryville; son Bruce Shay and wife Brenda, Clarks Summit; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
\nShe was preceded in death by son Robert W. Shay; grandson Michael James Holgate; siblings Lois Longcor, Carl Ferris Jr., Ruth Kubs, Jerry Ferris, Beverly Williams.<\/p>\n
\nA celebration of Marjorie\u2019s life will be held Sunday from 2-4 pm in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International at www.gideons.org.<\/p>\n
