Marie Bolcavage, 93, of Archbald, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, devoted matriarch and masterful seamstress passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 29th, at Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale. Known for her gentle spirit and her ability to mend both clothing and hearts, Marie leaves behind a legacy as beautiful as the wedding and prom dresses she designed and hemmed.<\/p>\n
\nMarie was born in Archbald, PA on September 29, 1932, daughter of the late Peter and Angeline (Esgro) Conserette. She was the widow of Robert Bolcavage. She had a lifelong commitment to her catholic faith and praying the rosary daily. Marie brought the tradition of Italy to her home by serving her homemade sauce and hand-rolled pasta for Sunday family dinners. Her kitchen was a place of comfort filled with love.<\/p>\n
\nMarie is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Cherie Uhrin, of Archbald. three sons Robert, and wife Maribeth of Michigan; Kenny and wife Denise of Crystal Lake; Rick and wife Shannon of Blakely. Eight grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren, a sister, Jane Esolen, of Archbald and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
\nShe was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Gavanis, and three brothers: Frank, Tom and Joseph Conserette.<\/p>\n
\nThe family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the incredible nurses, aids and staff of the Carbondale Nursing Home for their compassionate care and kindness.<\/p>\n
\nThe funeral will be Monday 9:30 AM from the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald, Interment will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 4 to 7 PM.<\/p>\n
