{"id":101638,"date":"2026-01-31T15:18:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-31T15:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/101638\/"},"modified":"2026-01-31T15:18:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-31T15:18:08","slug":"remake-learning-days-scheduled-news-sports-jobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/101638\/","title":{"rendered":"Remake Learning Days scheduled | News, Sports, Jobs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"988\" height=\"840\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/RemakeLearningDaysFeature-988x840.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p id=\"caption\">WVU photo<br \/>\nRemake Learning Days, the state\u2019s premier learning festival, is set to return May 4-15, delivering learning experiences designed to spark curiosity in pre-K though 12th grade students across the Mountain State. <\/p>\n<p>West Virginia University\u00a0and the\u00a0West Virginia Public Education Collaborative, in partnership with\u00a0WVU Extension, will deliver experiential learning to families across West Virginia through Remake Learning Days, the state\u2019s premier learning festival.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled for May 4-15, submissions are currently being sought for what will be a two-week series of events designed to spark curiosity and engage learners in grades pre-K through 12th grade, along with their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemake Learning Days has brought exciting learning experiences to students and families across West Virginia for over a decade,\u201d said\u00a0Donna Hoylman Peduto, executive director of the\u00a0WVPEC, which is housed in the\u00a0WVU Office of the Provost.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur focus is on extending learning beyond the classroom to create opportunities for families to learn \u2014 together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each year, the WVPEC collaborates with new and returning community partners to host events that make learning fun, engaging and memorable.<\/p>\n<p>The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025 with nearly 60 events hosted by schools, libraries, museums, local businesses, nonprofits and community groups across the state. A new partnership with WVU Extension \u2014 slated to continue this year \u2014 will again deliver activities focused on literacy and health to West Virginia\u2019s most rural communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to continue our partnership with WVU Extension,\u201d Peduto said. \u201cLearning should be fun and accessible for all, and this partnership focuses on bringing Remake Learning Days to even more communities around the state through Extension\u2019s robust network.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The theme for this year\u2019s festival is \u201cWonder, Explore, and Learn Together.\u201d Educators and organizations from the WVU community and around the state are invited to participate by hosting events focused on science, engineering, technology, the arts, reading, outdoor learning and more.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for event submissions is Friday, April 3. Submit your event here.<\/p>\n<p>Mini grants are also available to support organizations looking to host an event. Grant submissions will be accepted through Monday, March 2, via the\u00a0Remake Learning Days landing page. Early consideration will be given to submissions received by Feb. 9.<\/p>\n<p>Activities in West Virginia will run parallel to Remake Learning Days festivals happening in 13 regions across the United States, plus three international locations in Uruguay, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Most events are free for youth and families.<\/p>\n<p>Remake Learning Days is funded by The Grable Foundation, led by Remake Learning and supported by festival partner the Children\u2019s Museum of Pittsburgh, along with 16 lead regional organizations.<\/p>\n<p>West Virginia has hosted events for 11 years.
