Northampton County<\/a> motorists should prepare for multiple road maintenance projects<\/a> beginning Monday Feb. 2, with work scheduled across more than a dozen municipalities throughout the week.<\/p>\n

PennDOT<\/a> maintenance and bridge inspection crews will conduct various projects including pothole patching, crack sealing and bridge inspections. All work is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, with rain potentially causing delays to the schedule.<\/p>\n

Highway work will affect Interstate 78, with shoulder restrictions planned at multiple locations. On Feb. 2, crews will work between Exit 75 and Exit 67 in Williams Township. Additional I-78 work is scheduled Feb. 4 between Exit 71 and Exit 75, and Feb. 5 between Exit 75 and Exit 67 in Lower Saucon Township.<\/p>\n

Bridge inspection crews will conduct work Feb. 3 along I-78 near Old Seidersville Road and Hickory Hill Road in Lower Saucon Township, with flagging operations. <\/p>\n

The same day, Route 33 in Bethlehem Township will see a southbound lane restriction from 8 a.m. to noon, followed by a shoulder restriction on the northbound side from noon to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

Lane restrictions with flagging will affect several roads, including Route 611 in Williams Township from Feb. 2 through Feb. 4, and Bingen Road in Lower Saucon Township on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6. Additional lane restrictions are planned for Route 412 in Lower Saucon Township on Feb. 6.<\/p>\n

Pothole patching operations will take place on High Street in Nazareth Borough from Feb. 2 through Feb. 3, Main Street in Northampton Borough from Feb. 4 through Feb. 5, and Route 329 in East Allen Township on Feb. 6.<\/p>\n

Crack sealing work is scheduled for Route 987 in Hanover Township between Schoenersville Road and Mountain View Drive from Feb. 2 through Feb. 6, with lane restrictions and flagging.<\/p>\n

Several other roads will have maintenance work with no restrictions, including Richmond Road in Forks Township on Feb. 2, Church Road in Plainfield Township on Feb. 4, Mill Road in Plainfield Township on Feb. 5, and Main Street in Stockertown Borough on Feb. 6.<\/p>\n

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com<\/a>. The service is free and available 24 hours a day, providing traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
