{"id":101872,"date":"2026-01-31T22:35:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-31T22:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/101872\/"},"modified":"2026-01-31T22:35:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-31T22:35:09","slug":"2-people-taken-into-custody-during-drug-trafficking-investigation-spanning-pennsylvania-ohio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/101872\/","title":{"rendered":"2 people taken into custody during drug trafficking investigation spanning Pennsylvania, Ohio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/3e4a976ec2710352c785875f49668251.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two people were taken into custody during a drug trafficking investigation spanning Pennsylvania and Ohio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a social media post Saturday, the Washington County Sheriff\u2019s Office said the four-month investigation concluded on Thursday, with multiple agencies from both states involved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The investigation focused on the distribution of heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine in various municipalities, the office said. Numerous people are alleged to have taken part.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Thursday, authorities initiated a traffic stop on State Route 18 in Burgettstown. During the stop, 53-year-old Archie Orison of McDonald\/Burgettstown was arrested and found to have an unspecified amount of crack cocaine on him, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Orison was lodged at the Washington County Correctional Facility on a bench warrant and an arrest warrant out of Mount Pleasant Township, the office said. Additional charges are pending.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">After Orison\u2019s arrest, the Jefferson County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in Steubenville, Ohio.
