Maddison Miller, Honesdale\n<\/p>\n

Honesdale\u2019s Maddison Miller, Abington Heights\u2019 Hayden Manning and Scranton Prep\u2019s Willow McDonnell each placed first in their respective weight classes Saturday at the Wyoming Valley West Girls Wrestling Tournament.<\/p>\n

Miller went 3-0 with three first-period pins to capture the 148-pound title. The Lady Hornets sophomore (25-3) is ranked sixth in the state at 142 pounds, according to PA Power Wrestling, and fourth in the state, according to pa-wrerstling.com.<\/p>\n

Leonora Orellana Anton (155) placed third, and Leah Klinkiewicz (118) finished fourth, as Honesdale placed ninth out 19 teams.<\/p>\n

Manning went 3-0 with one pin and two technical falls to secure the 155-pound title. The Lady Comets freshman (23-1) is ranked eighth in the state at 155, according to PA Power Wrestling, and is a state honorable mention, according to pa-wrestling.com.<\/p>\n

Zoey Hearst (118) placed third, as Abington Heights finished 10th.<\/p>\n

McDonnell (15-8) went 4-0 with three pins and a decision to earn the 100-pound title. The sophomore was the Classics\u2019 lone wrestler at the tournament, as Scranton Prep placed 15th.<\/p>\n

Taylor Shaheen (130) finished second, and Amsi Garriga-Diaz (142) placed fifth, as Valley View finished 11th.<\/p>\n

Ava Pezanowski (148) finished fourth, and Ashlyn Bradshaw (136) secured sixth, as Mid Valley placed 16th.<\/p>\n

Jocelyn Suhow Sanchez (118) finished fifth, as West Scranton placed 17th.<\/p>\n

Battle of the Buck<\/p>\n

Sophia Yancewicz (100) and Mya Statile (170) each placed third to lead Wallenpaupack to a fourth-place finish Saturday at the Battle of the Buck tournament at Central Bucks West High School.<\/p>\n

Yancewicz went 3-1 with two pins and a tech. fall, while Statile went 3-1 with three pins.<\/p>\n

Rosa SanClementi (106) finished fifth and secured her 50th career victory along the way.<\/p>\n
