He was the devoted husband of Marie (Calabro) Caporali, with whom he shared a loving marriage of 67 years.<\/p>\n<p>\nBorn in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Bruno) Caporali Sr. Frank was a graduate of Ben Franklin High School, Carbondale, and a lifelong, devoted member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, worshipping at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. He was a founding committee member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast, where he generously gave his time over the years working many of the food stands and faithfully walking in the annual procession with the Blessed Mother.<\/p>\n<p>\nA proud United States Navy veteran, Frank continued his commitment to service through his active membership in the Cerra-Leo Disabled American Veterans Post and as a faithful Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7622. His strong sense of duty, faith, and community remained hallmarks of his life.<\/p>\n<p>\nIn his younger years, Frank worked alongside his father and grandfather in the family dry cleaning business for more than 30 years, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family tradition. He was later employed by Triangle Pacific Cabinets and the Carbondale Area School District, where he served as a dedicated maintenance man until his retirement.<\/p>\n<p>\nFrank greatly valued time spent with family and friends and especially enjoyed trips to the campground, where many cherished memories were made. He was well known for his warm friendships, particularly with his longtime buddies at the Tiki Bar, and he looked forward to his regular mornings at McDonald\u2019s, where he gathered with his treasured breakfast club. A devoted grandfather, Frank rarely missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren\u2019s sporting events and remained an avid sports fan throughout his life.<\/p>\n<p>\nIn addition to his beloved wife, Marie, Frank is survived by his four daughters, Mary Jo DeRichie and her husband, Michael, of Greenfield Township; Lori Lee and her husband, Joseph, of Carbondale; Anita Caporali of Carbondale; and Francine Newcomb and her husband, Frank, of Carbondale; one brother, Michael Caporali and his wife, Kathy, of Carbondale; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Caporali; an infant sister; and his grandson, Frankie Newcomb Jr.<\/p>\n<p>\nFrank\u2019s funeral will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2 Hospital Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Parishs Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale.
