READING, Pa. – Authorities in Reading are releasing more information about a shooting at a weekend basketball tournament that sent two people to the hospital.<\/p>\n
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to 3rd & Spruce Recreation Center for a reported shooting.<\/p>\n
Arriving officers located two people at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds who were transported for medical treatment. At this time, police say the two are expected to recover.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the shooting happened during a private event. The rec center had been rented for the evening in order to host a basketball tournament.<\/p>\n
Authorities say the incident is active and ongoing.<\/p>\n
