READING, Pa. – A man is under arrest and is charged with running a drug operation out of his Reading residence.<\/p>\n
52-year-old Manuel Gonzalez-Santiago is charged with possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, firearms violations and related offenses.<\/p>\n
On January 25, police served a search warrant on Gonzalez-Santiago’s home in the 200 block of S. 13th Street.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, a search of the apartment yielded over 1,200 grams of cocaine, approximately $25,000 in U.S. currency, a .40 caliber handgun, drug packaging materials and digital scales.<\/p>\n
Investigators say because of a previous felony drug conviction, Gonzalez-Santiago is not permitted to possess a firearm.<\/p>\n
Gonzalez-Santiago was committed to Berks County Jail on $200,000 bail.<\/p>\n
