Facebook post<\/a>, police warned people they would start ticketing after noon on Monday, and sure enough, they were good to their word, putting tickets for $25 on windshields, or where it’s less snowy in the door.<\/p>\n“I totally get it. It just, it’s unfortunate for some of us who are not in the area when this happened,” said Arelis Harsh.<\/p>\n
Harsh told 69 News she got her car dug out, but she was worried about the people renting from her.<\/p>\n
“That’s my tenant, and he’s out of town, so I’m going to try and help him out,” said Harsh.<\/p>\n
Harsh said that’s a tough situation to work around.<\/p>\n
“Some of us have more than one vehicle. We take one with us, and we’re not thinking oh my gosh we’re going to get snowed-in and stuck and get ticketed. Not everybody has the ability to have someone behind to say hey, can you go dig out my car?” said Harsh.<\/p>\n
But police were understanding. For the owners they could get in touch with, they even helped dig out some cars. Officers told us tickets are a last resort, but even so, Harsh said she’s going to make sure her tenant doesn’t get one.<\/p>\n
“I’ll just shovel it out for him. I don’t need him to get a ticket for some nonsense,” said Harsh.<\/p>\n
And tickets are just the first step.
