LOWER HEIDELBERG TWP., Pa. – The discovery of a woman’s body inside a western Berks County home has prompted a death investigation.<\/p>\n
Berks County Detectives, along with Lower Heidelberg Township Police, are conducting an investigation into the death of Candice Riehl, a 53-year-old woman from the Wernersville area.<\/p>\n
On the evening of Saturday, January 31, officers responded to a residence at in the 600 block of Fairmont Avenue, Lower Heidelberg Twp., for a report of an unresponsive female, later identified as Riehl.<\/p>\n
Authorities say Riehl was the sole resident of the property.<\/p>\n
An investigation into the circumstances of her death is ongoing and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at Reading Hospital.<\/p>\n
