(WPVI) &#8212; A Bensalem man has been charged with animal cruelty after, police say, his dog died after being left in a hot car outside a casino.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police say 62-year-old Andrew DeShield left his pit bull mix, named Gucci, inside his car while he was gambling at Parx Casino on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA hsDdd DbOXS oklLN GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Andrew DeShield\" class=\"hsDdd NDJZt sJeUN IJwXl vBqtr KrDt itslR WAUrb hakZw HlUVI \" data-testid=\"prism-image\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/16920403_070225-wpvi-andrew-deshield-img.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers rescued Gucci from the car and rushed the dog to a nearby animal hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Despite Gucci&#8217;s body temperature being 108 degrees, police say Deshield refused treatment and took Gucci home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers came to DeShield&#8217;s house the next day and found Gucci dead in the back of his car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">He was sent to Bucks County Correctional Center in lieu of $200,000 bail.<br class=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025 WPVI-TV.
