St. Patrick Parish in Philadelphia will offer a full schedule of Lenten liturgies and devotions, featuring guest preachers who will reflect on the mystery of the Eucharist in preparation for Easter.<\/p>\n
Feb. 24 \u2013 Bishop William Byrne of Springfield, MA: \u201cThe Eucharist: Happiness 101.\u201d
\nMarch 3 \u2013 Father Timothy Tarnacki, Associate Director of the Office of Young Adult Ministry: \u201cThe Eucharist: The Total Gift of Self.\u201d
\nMarch 10 \u2013 Bishop John O. Barres of Rockville Centre: \u201cThe Holy Eucharist as the True Way of All Our Loves upon Earth.\u201d
\nMarch 17 \u2013 Solemnity of Saint Patrick, 7 p.m., with Father Jonah Teller, O.P., preaching on \u201cBuilding a Vibrant Eucharistic Community.\u201d<\/p>\n
The parish will also host its annual Forty Hours Devotions from March 22\u201324, led by Father Stephen DeLacy, Director of the Office for Young Adult Ministry. This year\u2019s theme, \u201cOur Baptismal Identity and the Eucharist,\u201d will guide three days of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, beginning with Solemn Exposition on Sunday and concluding Tuesday evening with First Vespers of the Annunciation, a Eucharistic procession, and Benediction.<\/p>\n
