Representatives of St. Joseph\u2019s Center found Martin Luther King Jr. Day to be the perfect opportunity for collecting new and gently used winter clothing for children, embracing the late civil rights leader\u2019s commitment to service.<\/p>\n

The winter children\u2019s clothing drive on Jan. 19 supported the center\u2019s Baby and Children\u2019s Pantry in Dunmore, with donors dropping off materials during the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople who have the ability to help others are always looking for those opportunities, and so we\u2019ve really connected the inspiration of Martin Luther King with a direct impact in one\u2019s local community,\u201d said Sister Maryalice Jacquinot, I.H.M., St. Joseph\u2019s Center president and CEO. \u201cBy donating to the pantry you\u2019re helping local families, and I think everyone\u2019s happy for that opportunity to do something good for others.\u201d<\/p>\n
