BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (WNYT) \u2013 A Virginia man is accused of traveling more than 130 mph and causing a deadly crash back in November.<\/p>\n
The crash happened on Nov. 1 just before 4:45 p.m. in the northbound lane of the Thruway near Exit 23. State Police said William F. McAllister, 37, of Ringgold, was driving north when he attempted to move into the right lane. He sideswiped a pickup truck on the driver\u2019s side. Investigators said McAllister then veered left, striking a third car driven by Claudia Hargis-Grover, 63, of Glens Falls.<\/p>\n
Hargis-Grover was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle as well as the driver and passenger of the pickup truck were taken to Albany Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.<\/p>\n
McAllister was not impaired, police said.<\/p>\n
McAllister was charged with criminally negligent homicide. He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and released under the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.<\/p>\n
