(WJET\/WFXP)\u2013 The Detroit man accused of firing several rounds into an occupied car on the city\u2019s east side in March 2025 has been found guilty by an Erie County jury.<\/p>\n
The Erie County District Attorney\u2019s Office announced 52-year-old Aaron Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, was convicted of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and weapons charges for that shooting near the intersection of East 13th and Parade Streets.<\/p>\n
Three charged after Tuesday morning shooting in City of Erie <\/a><\/p>\n Thomas was accused of firing five shots during an incident where police said two vehicles pulled up to the stop sign, with one suspect getting out of their car and shooting five rounds at the other car.<\/p>\n According to the affidavit, one of the female victims had stolen a bag containing a quantity of cash and narcotics and was being hidden by the other female victim.<\/p>\n After a weeklong trial, the jury found Thomas guilty of 13 charges, including two counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and one count of possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.<\/p>\n According to court documents, the other two women charged alongside Thomas, 34-year-old Caitlin Stetson of Ripley, NY and 33-year-old Avery Hunt of North East, still have ongoing trials that started Monday.<\/p>\n
