The Erie County Police Department and the ANNA Shelter continue working to bring justice to a miniature Australian shepherd named Prince.<\/p>\n<p>Prince was shot at close range in the head and was found dead in a dumpster behind a Broad Street store earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>The executive director of the ANNA Shelter, Ruth Thompson, says that while the investigation is still in its early stages, investigators are making progress and moving in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor us to watch how serious it is now, how seriously this is being taken by law enforcement, by the public \u2014 again, we&#8217;re going to do everything we can to bring justice to this animal and maybe make an example of a few people so this kind of thing just stops.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Authorities urge anyone with information to call the ANNA Shelter at 814-572-5913 or the Erie Police Department at 814-870-1125.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"We have an update tonight on an animal cruelty investigation we&#8217;ve been following.
