{"id":106951,"date":"2026-02-06T12:21:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T12:21:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/106951\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T12:21:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T12:21:13","slug":"wawa-welcome-america-releases-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/106951\/","title":{"rendered":"Wawa Welcome America releases schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Philly and the Pa. suburbs to South Jersey and Delaware, what would you like WHYY News to cover? <a href=\"#Section1\">Let us know!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/july4thphilly.com\/events\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wawa Welcome America<\/a> is gearing up for America\u2019s semiquincentennial celebrations with 16 days of events this summer.\n<\/p>\n<p>6 nights of fireworks<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, the festival will feature six nights of fireworks at the following events:\n<\/p>\n<p>Changes to parade route<\/p>\n<p>For 2026, the <a href=\"https:\/\/july4thphilly.com\/event\/salute-to-independence-parade\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade<\/a> will feature 250 elements representing 50 U.S. states and its territories. All 52 <a href=\"https:\/\/missamerica.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miss America<\/a> state and territory titleholders will also be featured during the event.\n  <\/p>\n<p>The parade\u2019s route will also be expanded, beginning at Fifth and Chestnut streets and passing Independence Hall, before continuing down Market Street, circling City Hall and traveling along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway around Logan Circle. It will then return toward City Hall on Market Street before concluding at Broad and Chestnut streets.\n<\/p>\n<p>The parade will also include 50 marching bands, 13 floats, military elements, special units and historical elements.
