SLATINGTON, Pa. – Two men accused of\u00a0raping and falsely imprisoning a woman in Lehigh County have pleaded guilty.<\/p>\n
Jacquan Tanasse, 19, and\u00a0Tristan Zawick, 23,\u00a0pleaded guilty to charges of Rape, Conspiracy to Commit Rape, False Imprisonment, and Conspiracy to False Imprisonment, according to a news release from the\u00a0Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.<\/p>\n
The DA’s office said Tanasse also pleaded guilty to a Strangulation charge.<\/p>\n
Zawick faces a possible maximum sentence of 54 years in state prison, and Tanasse faces a possible maximum sentence of 44 years in prison, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
Tanasse and\u00a0Zawick are scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. May 28 before Judge James T. Anthony, the\u00a0DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
Just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2025, Slatington Police were called to a home in the 200 block of Walnut Street.<\/p>\n
According to the DA’s office, a 17-year-old female told police Tanasse and Zawick had raped her in the basement of the home. The victim told police the two men raped her, physically restrained her, and wrapped a cord around her wrists and a shirt was stuffed in her mouth, the DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
