A 27-year-old man accused of raping two Pennsylvania teenagers in separate cases last year has been arrested by U.S. Marshals.<\/p>\n

Dijani Brown is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Horsham Township and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Manor Township, Lancaster County.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officials say they fear there could be additional victims.<\/p>\n

One of the cases happened Oct. 14 in a strip mall parking lot on the 1400 block of Bethlehem Pike in Horsham Township.<\/p>\n

Police say Brown brought a 14-year-old girl there overnight and sexually assaulted her.<\/p>\n

The other case occurred two days earlier, on Oct. 12, in Manor Township. Police say Brown sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in his car in Lancaster County.<\/p>\n

In both cases, investigators say Brown met the victims through social media. In the Horsham case, police say he used the “Purp” app, which markets itself as a social networking app for people 13 and older to find new friends.<\/p>\n

“He’s on a friend-finder app, he’s portraying himself as a 17-year-old when in fact at the time of the crimes, he was 27,” said Rob Clark of the U.S. Marshals Service.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, Brown gave the Horsham teenager a vape and alcohol before sexually assaulting her. Investigators say the victim contacted police with her parents later that morning.<\/p>\n

After months of searching, U.S. Marshals arrested Brown at a residence in Yonkers, New York, on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

As the investigation continues and authorities look for possible additional victims, law enforcement officials are urging parents to closely monitor their children’s phones and online activity.<\/p>\n

“With today’s apps and social media and with predators out there like Mr. Brown, you really have to pay attention to what your child is going through, who they’re meeting on the phone, the apps that they’re using,” Clark said.<\/p>\n

Brown was arraigned in New York and will be extradited to Pennsylvania.
