A lot can still change. But Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> star A.J. Brown doesn\u2019t sound like someone who wants to be traded.<\/p>\n

Brown joined Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons on his podcast, Bleacher Report\u2019s \u201cThe Edge,\u201d<\/a> this week and weighed in on where things stand with the Eagles.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I got to Philly, Philly welcomed me with open arms,\u201d Brown said. \u201cYou know, that\u2019s home, and I love them. I love the support. I love the accountability. I love everything else that they do. But Philly is Philly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown, who has not spoken with local reporters since December, was not asked specifically about the rampant trade rumors<\/a> that have surrounded him for a while now<\/a>. <\/p>\n

But Brown did have this to say. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs an offense, we need to come back and watch the tape and rediscover ourselves and go to work each and every day. Being accountable, and taking it one day at a time,\u201d Brown said in San Francisco ahead of the Super Bowl. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have great leaders in our locker room. I\u2019m fortunate to be a part of that, especially on offense. We have a lot of talent, but talent gets us nowhere. It\u2019s all about being detailed and being disciplined.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parsons then asked if Brown is feeling \u201cexcitement\u201d after a flurry of coaching changes. Kevin Patullo was removed from his post as offensive coordinator and replaced by Packers assistant Sean Mannion. The Eagles also hired pass game coordinator Josh Grizzard.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course. I\u2019m always excited. Sometimes change is not a bad thing,\u201d Brown said. \u201cI have the utmost respect for KP. To me, he did a tremendous job, and he has a great heart. But I\u2019m excited for the season. I\u2019m excited for what\u2019s to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, it\u2019s not as if Brown came out and said he didn\u2019t want to be traded. He also could have just been trying to say the right things publicly.<\/p>\n

But on their face, Brown\u2019s words were encouraging for those who hope to see the three-time All-Pro receiver remain with the Eagles. <\/p>\n

Of course, there\u2019s a lot of time for things to change. The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini reported<\/a> on Saturday that Brown\u2019s situation with the Eagles is \u201cstill unresolved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHis relationship with the team remains somewhat tenuous,\u201d Russini wrote. \u201cFrom what I\u2019m hearing, substantial conversations about his future have not yet taken place, but expect talks to ramp up around the NFL combine in two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni are expected to be at the NFL Combine and speak to the media in Indianapolis. So perhaps they\u2019ll provide an update on the situation. Or maybe the Brown trade saga will continue to percolate throughout the offseason. <\/p>\n

Either way, Brown \u2014 after the Eagles\u2019 early playoff exit to the 49ers served as a disappointing end to a disappointing season \u2014 is eager to get better ahead of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have good days, and you have bad days. Unfortunately, that day was a bad day,\u201d Brown said of the 23-19 loss to the 49ers on Jan. 11. \u201cBut you look back on those things and you\u2019re grateful. You can be grateful for the highs and the lows because you can rediscover yourself. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I know me personally, I\u2019m excited to get in this lab and better myself each and every day and to grow.
