A bomb threat that turned out to be unfounded caused Temple Hospital’s Emergency Department to briefly divert ambulances on Saturday, a hospital spokesperson said in a statement to NBC10. <\/p>\n
The bomb threat was received at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, forcing the hospital to issue a Code Black and put in place a temporary ambulance divert, the spokesperson said. <\/p>\n
“There was no interruption to internal patient\u00a0services\u00a0and no evacuations were needed,” the statement read, in part. <\/p>\n
The threat ended up being unfounded after an investigation and the all clear was given at 7:19 p.m. on Saturday evening, the spokesperson said. <\/p>\n
“An investigation, including a thorough search by\u00a0the\u00a0Temple\u00a0University\u00a0Police\u00a0Department (TUPD), was conducted and no threat was found.”<\/p>\n
