Community members came out for \u201cArty\u2019s Party,\u201d a fundraiser supporting Grady\u2019s Decision \u2014 a nonprofit that helps parents of babies in the NICU.<\/p>\n<p>The benefit honors baby Arty, who was born critically ill and spent nearly five months in a Pittsburgh NICU fighting for his life. He now awaits a kidney transplant.<\/p>\n<p>We spoke with Arty\u2019s mom about why the family wanted to give back to the organization that supported them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrady\u2019s Decision is there to support those families. They stepped in in a big way for us, so again, we just wanted to give back to them however we could.\u201d said Katie Sideris, Arty\u2019s Mom<\/p>\n<p>The benefit also included multiple local businesses donating baked goods for \u201cPies for Preemies,\u201d all to support the cause.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A local family is turning their son\u2019s fight for life into hope for others.
