MOHNTON, Pa. (WPVI) — It’s been 25 years since 40-year-old Lisa Carabello was found murdered in her Mohnton, Berks County home.<\/p>\n
After decades of searching, Pennsylvania State Police and the family are asking for help in solving her case.<\/p>\n
“Realistically, we know no more today than when it happened 25 years ago,” says Carabello’s brother, Rob Griffin. “There was no murder weapon found, no witnesses.”<\/p>\n
Carabello was going through a divorce, and medical problems at the time of her death – which her brother believes was personal.<\/p>\n
“She was stabbed multiple times,” he says. “This happened at the top of a staircase, and she ended up falling down the staircase to where she was found dead by her son.”<\/p>\n
As the anniversary of the homicide approaches, and the years stretch on, Griffin remembers her kind nature.<\/p>\n
“Almost like a flower child to an extent. She really just wanted to be happy, she loved her family,” says Griffin.<\/p>\n
Pennsylvania State Police are asking anyone with information to call in a tip that could lead to a resolution, and closure for Lisa’s family.<\/p>\n
“Someone that knows something over the years, and maybe this sparks their memory or maybe this will be a reason for them to come out and say something,” says Griffin.<\/p>\n
