ALLENTOWN, Pa. – It’s been just over two weeks since a record snowstorm buried our region in about a foot of snow. In Allentown, confusion lingers on clean-up efforts and who is responsible.<\/p>\n

Allentown Parking Authority (APA) is setting the record straight on snow clean-up.<\/p>\n

“We’re responsible for the parking enforcement and the city is responsible for snow emergencies,” said APA Chairman Ted Zeller.<\/p>\n

Zeller told 69 News the authority has gotten a lot of flak over road conditions these last two weeks.<\/p>\n

“Everyone’s frustrated and the parking authority is usually the first one to blame. We’re easy targets because nobody likes getting a parking ticket,” Zeller stated.<\/p>\n

While they’ve written tickets if someone is parked in an unsafe way, they’re not responsible for clearing roads or vehicles. That’s the job of Allentown Public Works.<\/p>\n

“If you’re parked in a snow emergency zone, the parking authority actually isn’t towing that car. A city contractor is the one towing that car,” Zeller explained.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a video shared on Facebook caused further confusion on clean-up efforts after Allentown police officers were going door-to-door on Allen Street at 12:30 Saturday morning<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We’re happy that they remove the snow, but we’re like at that time?
