Francine M. Buchanan, 55, of Carbondale, died on Friday, February 6, 2026, at home.<\/p>\n
\nBorn in Belleville, NJ, she is the daughter of Claudette Eldridge Buchanan, Scranton, and William Buchanan, Milford, PA. She attended Belleville High School and McCann School in Scranton. She had been employed by Penn Foster as a Financial Services Representative.<\/p>\n
\nFrancine \u201cFran\u201d Buchanan leaves behind a love so deep it will echo through generations. Fran was, above all else, a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into loving, protecting, and cheering on the people she held dear. By her side through it all was her beloved dog, Logan, her constant companion and source of comfort. Those who knew Fran will remember her warmth, her fierce love, and the way she showed up for the people she cared about. Her love will continue to live on through the lives she touched \u2013 especially in her son and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride. Though she is no longer with us in body, Fran\u2019s spirit, love, and legacy remain forever etched in our hearts.<\/p>\n
\nSurviving are a son, Joseph Buchanan, and wife, Ashley, Scranton; 2 grandchildren, Alaina and Braiden Buchanan; a sister, Danielle Buchanan, Mayfield; a niece, Cheryl Eible, Mayfield.<\/p>\n
\nFamily and friends may call on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. To leave an online condolence, visit the funeral home website.<\/p>\n
