The biggest game in the state on the final weekend of the regular season may be in New Tripoli on Friday night.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s where Southern Lehigh, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, will play defending 3A state champ Northwestern Lehigh. The Tigers are ranked No. 2 in 3A after being ranked No. 1 throughout the first part of the season.<\/p>\n
The fact that this is a one-and-done showdown with no chance of a rematch in districts adds to the magnitude of the matchup.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, lurking just behind Northwestern Lehigh in 3A is Notre Dame-Green Pond. The Crusaders are the third unbeaten Colonial League member, and if things stay on course, they will play Northwestern Lehigh for the district title in three weeks.<\/p>\n
In Class 6A, Eastern Pennsylvania Conference members Parkland and Easton remain two of the three unbeaten teams left in the state in the highest classification.<\/p>\n
Parkland has held steady at No. 3 in the state rankings for most of the season, while Easton keeps moving up and is currently seventh. They might be on a collision course to meet for the District 11 6A title on Nov. 14.<\/p>\n
Schuylkill Haven, another District 11 unbeaten, holds steady as the No. 1-ranked team in Class 2A.<\/p>\n
