Turnpike closed for toll booth construction \u2013 NBC10 Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Drivers are being diverted as construction on a toll booth is underway on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Wednesday afternoon. <\/p>\n<p>Crews were preparing to demolish the booth at the Downingtown exit #312 along Interstate 76 on Feb. 11 when they found an issue and decided to stop traffic access, officials said. <\/p>\n<p>The exit is currently closed to all traffic and drivers are being asked to use other interchanges to get onto and off of the Turnpike. <\/p>\n<p>SkyForce10 was over the scene just before 4 p.m. where crews could be seen tearing down the toll booth as debris was scattered all over the roadway. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/toll-booth-collapse-1.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>No word yet on when the exit will be reopened. <\/p>\n<p>For the latest updates from Pennsylvania state officials on traffic conditions, <a href=\"https:\/\/511pa.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/511pa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">check 511 by clicking here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.
