Drama continues over the future leadership of the Performing Arts Collective Alliance (PACA) in downtown Erie.<\/p>\n
The organization’s board of directors announced that PACA’s founder and executive director Mark Tanenbaum has resigned.<\/p>\n
However, Erie News Now spoke with Tanenbaum over the phone, and he stated that he did not resign.<\/p>\n
Tanenbaum said that there was an interaction with the board that led to them announcing his resignation on social media.<\/p>\n
However, Tanenbaum says that whatever he said to the board did not rise to a resignation.<\/p>\n
Tanenbaum founded PACA 16 years ago, to help improve the arts community by providing studio space for artists.<\/p>\n
Tanenbaum told Erie News Now that PACA is in great shape financially, and that he’s raised enough money to replace the building’s aging elevator.<\/p>\n
Tanenbaum said that the future of arts in this community is more important to him than any conflict with the current board.<\/p>\n
